Overview

Mitchell Adam are delighted to put pen to paper to confirm their continued collaboration with an established organisation in North Birmingham. This organisation has seen a terrific period of expansion and has recently announced their intentions to bring on a talented Management Accountant into their team. This organisation values its staff very highly, and always look for ways to improve the experience of working within the business. The team are very welcoming and often go on evening trips to Birmingham City Centre to socialise and build chemistry within the group. The organisation provides a brilliant benefits package which includes study support for those aspiring chartered accountants and a strong pension contribution. As a Management Accountant, you will be helping oversee the development of an Assistant Management Accountant who will at times lean on your insight. The business also provides the option to work in a hybrid working style.

You will be an integral component of the management account pack production. You will able to liaise with senior management and will be involved with financial meetings where you will be able to provide a commentary on some of the financial circumstances of the organisation. Alongside this, you will be involved with the budgeting and forecasting process, you will be involved with budgetary meetings with internal and external non-financial stakeholders, where you will be able to discuss the financial health of different departments to the relevant individual. This a role which will provide a fantastic foundation to develop and progress quickly. Your development will be assisted by senior management who will take time to assess your work and be able to provide insight on ways to improve and continue your growth. With growth comes the opportunity to ascend within the organisation and potentially obtain the objectives that you seek in your career.

Skills Required
  • To be experienced with month end responsibilities, such as gaining exposure to budgeting and forecasting and completing variance analysis.
  • This role will see you at times being an integral player in financial meetings where you will be interacting with various stakeholders from a varying level of seniority. It is important to be to be confident and self-assured.
  • To be either currently studying your ACCA or CIMA Qualification or to have completed a portion of examinations. If you consider yourself "Qualified by Experience" please feel free to apply.
  • This role at times will see you assisting with junior colleagues, it is important to be able to communicate well and be a team player in this organisation.
