Role: Management Accountant
Robert Half is partnering with a leading manufacturing business to recruit a Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to further their career in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, cost analysis, and operational decision-making, working closely with stakeholders across the business to drive performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and financial commentary.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insight to aid strategic decision-making.
- Conduct cost analysis, including standard costing, material variances, and overhead allocation.
- Assist with inventory and stock control, ensuring accurate valuation and reconciliation.
- Provide financial insights to operational teams, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with financial controls.
- Support the year-end audit and liaise with external auditors.
- Assist with ad hoc financial projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Part-qualified (CIMA / ACCA) and actively working towards full qualification.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of management accounting, financial reporting, and cost control.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
