We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our client's finance team, providing leadership and expertise in management accounting. The role includes direct and indirect people management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be Qualified by Experience (QBE) or hold a relevant qualification, with proficiency in SAP being highly advantageous.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organisational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage accounting staff, providing direction and support to ensure accuracy and efficiency in their work.
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Develop and maintain internal control procedures to ensure financial integrity.
  • Lead and coordinate the budgeting process and provide financial forecasting, analysing variances and suggesting improvements.
  • Work closely with the finance team to streamline accounting functions and operations.
  • Contribute to the development of company financial strategies and policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of management accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Qualified by Experience (QBE) or a relevant finance/accounting qualification.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
