We are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations, providing leadership to the finance team and ensuring the integrity of accounting information by establishing quality control over financial transactions and reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in people management and be well-versed in management accounting practices. Proficiency in SAP is beneficial, and qualifications are considered alongside significant experience.
Day-to-day of the role:- Lead and manage the finance team, both directly and indirectly, ensuring high levels of performance and team development.
- Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and financial statements.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and guidelines.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and new business opportunities.
- Liaise with external auditors to ensure the annual audit is carried out effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in people management.
- Qualified by Experience (QBE) or formally qualified in finance/accounting.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems is highly beneficial.
- Strong understanding of management accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.
