Intervl are partnered with a leading electronics manufacturer with their search for an Assistant Accountant to join their growing team in Birmingham. You will prepare monthly management accounts, manage accounts payable/receivable, handle payroll, and assist with VAT & PAYE reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly financial closings & reconciliations
  • Cash flow, budgeting & ad hoc financial reports
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure goals are met
  • Assisting with audits & regulatory reporting
  • Supporting with month and year-end close process
  • Lead and develop an Accounts Assistant in the team
  • Credit Control

Requirements:

  • AAT/ ACCA qualifications or a degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Experience in a similar position with management experience
  • A versatile character that is a well rounded accounts professional
  • Strong Excel & finance software skills
  • Analytical mindset & strong attention to detail
