Childrens Centre Senior AdministratorBased in Acocks Green, Birmingham£14ph - £15phYour new schoolThe role would working for a charity that is responsible for working with vulnerable children and families, based in South Birmingham. The role is to start as soon as possible and will be from Monday to Friday, 9.00 am -5.00 pm each day and will be an all year round role. This is a long term temporary role whilst they recruit to the permanent position. The role is to start as soon as possible.Your new roleThe role is a pressurised role where you will support in the running of Centre. Duties will include:

  • Attending and minuting key meetings
  • Participating in weekly referral process working and liaising with other professionals/agencies
  • Responsibilities around facilities management such as security and safety systems, reporting and following up repairs
  • Supervise the provision of and ensure there is an effective service user friendly reception service
  • Supervise the provision of efficient office systems, e.g. dealing with enquiries, message taking, room booking and staff movement systems
  • Dealing with incoming enquiries/requests
  • Use of IT systems, particularly MS applications and information recording systems
  • Ordering consumables, supplies and equipment as required
  • Line management of administrators and caretaker
  • Any other duties as required

This is an organisation that does a lot of work with vulnerable children and families and has gone through a lot of change over the last 12 months. They require an individual that is passionate about working in this sector with strong administration skills.This is rewarding organisation to work for that provides a lot of training and development to its employees. As the role is working across several sites you must have access to your own car (mileage will be paid).What you'll need to succeedYou will need to have experience of leading office based administrative services, with proven people management experience. You will also have proven experience of IT systems and the use of information as a management tool including MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, publisher or similar packages. You must be a resilient individual. You will also have recent experience in a similar field that Hays can obtain satisfactory references for you. You will also have an enhanced DBS check.
