Copywriter - B2C Marketing Comms - Financial Services / Retail Banking

£40,000 - £42,000 p/a

Hybrid working - 3 days / week onsite

This exciting role site within an inhouse creative department for a global and very well know financial services company. You’d be part of a talented campaign team that works on high profile B2C / Customer communication across retail, print and digital channels.

The role would see you working in partnership with inhouse clients in Marketing, to write engaging and impactful copy for a range of output. You’d work on lots of digital collateral such as web copy, CRM / email campaigns, social content and assets, presentations, and a mix of other digital communication. You’d also write for offline, including DM, instore, OOH, and employee internal literature. It’s vital that you can take briefs and produce highly captivating copy to ensure that target audiences are engaged throughout the customer journey and your work builds brand recognition.

You will need to have strong experience writing and editing copy for varied digital and print media, and adapting writing style accordingly. The Copywriter will also be extremely used to writing with brand TOV guidelines in mind and tailoring writing to the audience and channel that the copy is intended for. It’s important that you have the experience in retail FS to really know what grabs audiences and have produced digi work that has the clickthrough rates to demonstrate this.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft Engaging Content: Create original and compelling copy for various marketing materials across digital and print channels, ensuring complex financial concepts are distilled and made accessible and memorable for diverse audiences.
  • Edit for Consistency: Check and refine existing marketing copy to maintain a cohesive brand voice and tone, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with the team and client marketing to understand project objectives, target demographics, and key messaging.
  • Time Management: Efficiently manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, delivering value at every stage.
  • Build Relationships: Develop strong connections with stakeholders to build relationships and enhance your own output as well as the teams’ more generally.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with financial industry trends and regulations to ensure the accuracy and relevance of all copy produced.
  • Sustainability Awareness: Participate in relevant sustainability training and engage with recommended research to incorporate sustainability issues into content when applicable.

Ideal Candidate:

This role would suit a dynamic communicator with a knack for translating complex retail banking / financial topics into engaging narratives. You’ll have experience of writing with different audiences and media in mind and a natural ability to juggle projects whilst fostering strong collaborative relationships.
