Hydraulics Technician Needed - Pump Engineer Opportunity Available

Based from East or West Midlands

40,000 - 45,000 + Overtime + Benefits

Full product training provided.

Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Hydraulic Technicians and Engineers based from the East or West Midlands areas who might be interested in joining a very well established distributor and service provider to the pump industry.

Initially working alongside one of the team you will gain product training on the company's range of commercial pump sets and transfer your expertise from the hydraulic industry to a new sector.

Once trained you will work on a range of pumps and carry out a critical role for the company by installing, commissioning and servicing units for customers to a high standard in addition to undertaking planned maintenance and remedial work.

Role Duties

  • Service based position, attending customer sites to carry out servicing and commissioning, fault finding and repairs of pumping systems and pressurisation units.
  • Reporting additional onsite requirements to allow service team to prepare and supply quotes.
  • Pump refurbishments.
  • Actioning planned maintenance packages.
  • Reactive breakdown and emergency work.
  • Carry out site surveys.
  • Pump workshop support.
  • Maintaining high customer service levels when out in the field.
  • Production of reports and paperwork relating to service jobs.
  • Ensuring excellent quality standards through final inspection and pass off process.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed in accordance with our quality management system.
  • Ensuring & promoting high levels of health & safety standards.
  • Ensuring & promoting high levels of environmental standards.

Engineer Profile

  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Background working as a Hydraulics Service Technician or Engineer and interested in working on a new product range.
  • Confident working independently on customer sites and excellent customer facing/service skills.
  • Based from the Midlands but able to travel further afield to respond to customer requirements.
  • Ideally:
    • Mechanical or Electrical qualifications.
    • IOSH.
    • Confined Spaces trained & certified.
