An ambitious and driven FMCG Field Sales Executive / Wholesale Activator is needed to join a well-established and successful brand owner operating across multiple FMCG categories. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced sales environment, focusing on wholesale and Cash & Carry markets.
The company has a strong presence in the industry and is looking to expand its sales team with motivated individuals who can build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale partners and their customers.
This is a field-based role we have positions covering an assigned territory including London, Midlands, North-West, and Yorkshire regions, with a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to develop a rewarding career.
About the Role
Reporting to the Sales Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in executing the company's sales strategy within the wholesale sector. The position requires a proactive and energetic approach to drive sales, secure promotional space, and increase product awareness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with wholesale partners and their customers.
- Working closely with the Sales Controller to implement sales strategies.
- Driving category sales and increasing brand dominance in the wholesale sector.
- Conducting product training and initiatives to improve staff knowledge and awareness.
- Negotiating increased promotional space for key products to enhance visibility.
- Developing and executing an effective call plan to maximise business opportunities.
Performance Measurements
- Achieving monthly sales targets and KPIs.
- Growing product distribution and increasing sales volume.
- Executing national promotional campaigns effectively.
- Ensuring high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.
The Ideal Candidate
- A highly motivated, energetic, and driven individual.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Experience in FMCG, particularly within the food and drink sector, is preferred but not essential.
- A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Knowledge of the convenience and wholesale marketplace is an advantage.
- Experience in field sales, van sales, or merchandising within the retail or convenience sector is beneficial.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- 5 days field-based (37.5 hours per week).
