Accounts Payable Clerk - Birmingham City Centre - Hospitality SectorA really exciting role has become available within an up-and-coming hospitality business for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team in Birmingham City Centre. Due to continued growth, they need someone to manage supplier invoices, process payments, and ensure the smooth running of the AP function. With a lively and fast-paced environment, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a sociable team. You'll have the chance to work closely with suppliers and internal teams, making sure payments are accurate and on time. Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing high volumes of invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies
  • Preparing and processing payment runs
  • Handling supplier queries and maintaining strong relationships
  • Reconciling supplier statements and assisting with month-end processes
  • Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and reporting
  • Ensuring financial records are up to date and organised
  • Assisting with process improvements within the AP function

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication skills for dealing with suppliers and internal teams
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
