Head of Technology (Web REST API Gaming / Gambling) Remote UK to £90k

Are you a technologist with leadership experience? You could be joining a successful and growing tech company that produce a range of online games used by various clients (e.g. eCommerce, sports betting) to help them retain and attract new customers.

As Head of Technology you will provide technical leadership and guidance to a talented team, remaining hands-on with architecture and design, code reviews and coding. You'll drive technical innovation and stay up to date with emerging technologies, making recommendations and adding new technology to the stack.

This is a senior, impactful role where you'll collaborate with key stakeholders including the Head of Marketing, reporting to the COO to gain an indepth understanding of technology requirements and deliver solutions to meet business needs. You'll foster a high performance culture of achievement and collaboration, overseeing the design, implementation and maintenance of robust, scalable solutions as the company continues to grow.

Location / WFH:

You can be based anywhere in the UK on a fully remote / work from home basis (there may be occasional team meet-ups).

About you:

  • You have a strong technical skills with modern web technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, React
  • You also have a good knowledge of SQL, serverless architectures, REST APIs, SOLID design principles, Azure cloud services
  • You have strong team leadership skills including experience of conducting code reviews, 1-2-1s, mentoring / coaching
  • You have experience within the gaming / gambling sector
  • You enjoy innovating, working with emerging technology and driving improvements
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills including stakeholder management
