Area to be covered: South - ideally based Midlands

Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 + £16,000 bonus (paid quarterly)

Benefits: Hybrid company car & full benefits packages The role of the Business Development Manager - Retaining Walls & Facing Bricks will involve:

  • Field sales position selling a high end quality manufactured range of retaining walls & facing bricks
  • Selling into design teams within national & regional housebuilders predominantly but also some tier one main contractors
  • Covering the South, but most of the customers are based in the Midlands
  • Inheriting a mature area (previous incumbent on patch over 8 years)
  • 70% account management of 30+ strong relationships within national & regional housebuilders, 30% new business development
  • Revenue responsibility of circa £7.5m
  • Both products performing well against budget expectations, but growth area is within the retaining walls
  • Order values up to £300,000, but an average order is approx £50,000
  • Fantastic opportunity to join which our client launching new product range in January 2025 (lighter and cheaper product)
  • CPD’s and other general presentations

The ideal applicant will be an Business Development Manager - Retaining Walls & Facing Bricks experience with:

  • 5 years+ building products field sales experience
  • Must have sold into the housebuilder customer base
  • Open in terms of what building products / materials you’ve sold, heavyside/ civil may be advantageous
  • Outgoing personality
  • Ability to understand technical drawings
  • Technical role and specification sales hybrid position
  • IT Literate
