Business Development Manager - West Midlands - Furniture Manufacturing - £45,000About the CompanyA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Sales professional to work with a global business that supplies components to the furniture manufacturing sector. This role is your time will be split 50% focusing on existing customers and 50% on new business targeting a range of furniture manufacturers within your specified region. This is a field based role where your time will be split across working from home, attending customer visits and with a couple of days a month spent at head office. You will be given support but also with a good degree of autonomy to manage your time accordingly. Business Development Manager - The Rewards

Business Development Manager - Requirements

  • Must have a proven successful track record of technical B2B sales
  • Previous experience selling in to the furniture manufacturing sector is essential.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent relationship management skills
  • Excellent planning and organising skills, able to manage your own time to maximum effect
  • Effective communication, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Proficient IT skills and the ability to analyse data such as business plans, performance and market data
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

Business Development Manager - Responsibilities

  • Maintaining existing business and generating profitable new business in line with an annual business plan.
  • Maintain and expand sales from an existing customer base whilst generating new accounts.
  • Strategic management of key accounts
  • Organise regular visits to existing and potential new accounts in a specified geographical area.
  • Build lasting relationships based upon trust and credibility.
  • Analyse data and prepare concise sales reports, quotations and liaise with Internal sales administrators.
  • Open up further opportunities with existing customers
  • Ensure sales pipeline is sufficient to achieve sales targets
