We’re working with a national retailer as they look to employ their first inhouse Marketer - but don’t worry, you definitely won’t be the last as one of the first tasks on your appointment will be to recruit for your team! This role is an allround Marketing Manager - a lovely mix of digital with print with a family-owned business
The role:
Our client has always worked with agencies for their marketing, and whilst they will continue to do so, their focus is on the digital element of their business, and they really want to build an inhouse marketing team to help them achieve their aim. So, the key areas to focus on will be Digital Marketing - website management, content management, email marketing and managing the agency for PPC and SEO; social media - they currently utilise Facebook, Insta and X but really want to get a Youtube channel up and running and so this will be organic and paid; branding and print - they’re not looking for a full rebrand, just some fine-tuning, and with a good number of physical stores across the country you’ll be involved with POS and brochures etc.
As mentioned, one of the first things you’ll do is also start to build your team, and the first role will be a content executive to support you with the day to day on social media etc. so whilst this seems a big job for one person, you won’t be on your own for long!
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an experienced marketer with a broad background covering a plethora of digital marketing disciplines but also knowledge of print. It would be fantastic if you had experience of marketing within the retail sector, but that isn’t essential. You will definitely be used to marketing a 'product’ rather than a service though and its likely your experience is more consumer focussed than b2b. You’ll be used to managing agencies and also will have some people management skills. The plan is to continue growing the team to support your work and have less reliance on the agency, but they’re not looking to remove agency support entirely. Knowledge of Canva would be useful, but not essential.
What’s on Offer?
Ideally this is an office based role, however there may be some flexibility to work one day from home, office hours are 7.30-4 - brilliant for avoiding the traffic and for ensuring you can make the most of your evening. Salary for the role is between £35-40,000 depending on experience. Located right on the motorway network, it’s very easy to get to the offices. This is a great opportunity to make your mark on a business and to be given the opportunity to grow your own team.
