Exceptional opportunity to join this highly professional division of Water/Environmental/Ecology and Geotechnical Engineers with this industry leader.

Joining a well- established water team you will focus on - flood risk, drainage, hydraulic modelling and environmental planning. Our client`s current workload includes:- Energy, Residential and assisting in developing their offering within the Water Framework Directive and geomorphology services.

For your part you will be responsible for:-

  • Delivering Water Framework Directive Assessments and mentoring and developing the team around you.
  • Leading on project management, including client liaison, workload supervision, resource planning and financial administration.
  • Working with and supporting their Civil Engineers, Ecologists as well as mentoring junior members of the team will be key.
  • Additionally the delivery of flood risk assessments as well as input into production of environmental statements.
  • Developing innovative solutions to complex problems, for example flood relief optioneering and watercourse diversions.
  • Providing solutions to technical problems and input to provide factual and interpretative reports throughout the lifecycle of a project.
  • You will also be involved in developing client relationships and creating opportunities.
  • For your part you will have a track record of delivering Water Framework Directive Assessments and Water based Environmental Statement chapters.
  • Knowledge of geomorphological process and natural flood risk management.
  • Knowledge of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) as well as flood risk and drainage policy in the UK
  • Proven track record in client liaison, project management, delivering projects to scope, programme, and budget.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic modelling software packages such as Flood Modeller Pro and TUFLOW, is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience in hydrological analysis using Flood Estimation Handbook techniques and associated software packages, such as ReFH2 and WINFAP, is beneficial but not essential.
  • Capability in using GIS software (QGIS) and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in using AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and Causeway Flow would be beneficial but not essential.
