Business Development Executive Responsibilities:
- Generate new leads by approaching prospective customers over the phone, via networking, and marketing campaigns
- Attract new business by proactively reaching out to prospective customers to promote the company's products and services
- Maximise sales conversion rates by following up on potential opportunities and passing 'big-ticket' leads to the Head of Business Development
- Collaborate with the Head of Business Development to implement a growth and new business strategy that increases market share
- Develop a strong pipeline by undertaking market research and fostering close-knit relations with prospective customers
- Maintain the CRM with sales activity and use data to generate pipeline, KPI and forecasting reports
- Attend exhibitions, trade shows and networking events, acting as a representative and advocate of the brand
- Develop and deliver presentations internally and externally
- Work to and exceed agreed targets and KPIs
Business Development Executive Skills and Experience:
- Experienced Business Development Executive, who thrives in a sales environment and has experience in lead generation, sales or business development within the B2B sector
- Demonstrates a proven track record of identifying opportunities and generating leads
- Possesses a good understanding of the entire sales lifecycle, and understands the best methods to use for promoting products and winning new business
- An active listener, who boasts superb communication and interpersonal skills and is confident handling a range of customers with differing requirements
- A customer-focused, people-person who is confident pitching, selling, and negotiating with prospective customers over the phone, through virtual meetings and in person
- Proficient user of CRM systems, LinkedIn and Microsoft Office, experience in using Dynamics 365 would be advantageous
- Works on initiative and is commercially astute, able to work independently, problem-solve, and mold your approach to each prospective customer
- Able to travel to attend meeting and events, a driving license would be preferred but isn't essential
