Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the aim of this Business Development Executive role is to drive growth and increase market share. Business Development Executive Responsibilities:

  • Generate new leads by approaching prospective customers over the phone, via networking, and marketing campaigns
  • Attract new business by proactively reaching out to prospective customers to promote the company's products and services
  • Maximise sales conversion rates by following up on potential opportunities and passing 'big-ticket' leads to the Head of Business Development
  • Collaborate with the Head of Business Development to implement a growth and new business strategy that increases market share
  • Develop a strong pipeline by undertaking market research and fostering close-knit relations with prospective customers
  • Maintain the CRM with sales activity and use data to generate pipeline, KPI and forecasting reports
  • Attend exhibitions, trade shows and networking events, acting as a representative and advocate of the brand
  • Develop and deliver presentations internally and externally
  • Work to and exceed agreed targets and KPIs

Business Development Executive Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced Business Development Executive, who thrives in a sales environment and has experience in lead generation, sales or business development within the B2B sector
  • Demonstrates a proven track record of identifying opportunities and generating leads
  • Possesses a good understanding of the entire sales lifecycle, and understands the best methods to use for promoting products and winning new business
  • An active listener, who boasts superb communication and interpersonal skills and is confident handling a range of customers with differing requirements
  • A customer-focused, people-person who is confident pitching, selling, and negotiating with prospective customers over the phone, through virtual meetings and in person
  • Proficient user of CRM systems, LinkedIn and Microsoft Office, experience in using Dynamics 365 would be advantageous
  • Works on initiative and is commercially astute, able to work independently, problem-solve, and mold your approach to each prospective customer
  • Able to travel to attend meeting and events, a driving license would be preferred but isn't essential
