Punch Press OperativePermanent role - £16 per hour Monday to Friday 06:00am – 14:00pmPertemps Recruitment are currently recruiting for a thriving and growing manufacturing firm located in Birmingham who is currently seeking a Punch Press Operative due to projected expansion. The chosen candidate will work at our client's production facility in Birmingham.As a member of the Fabrication team, you will report to the section leader and be responsible for operating various machinery including CNC punch press. Prior experience in setting and operating punch presses is essential.Key responsibilities:• Inspect and measure completed work to ensure it meets specifications.• Complete all tasks within or ahead of the quoted time frames.• Maintain machines in a clean and orderly condition, performing maintenance as needed.• Share industry knowledge and provide training to colleagues.• Collaborate with the Manager to ensure adequate stock levels.• Keep tools, gauges, and equipment clean, orderly, and safe.• Show flexibility to work in other departments and perform overtime when necessary to meet production goals.• Perform administrative tasks as required.• Report any drawing errors.Experience:• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Industrial Fabrication.• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.• Familiarity with metal finishing techniques.• Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings and work instructions.• Proficiency in using hand measurement tools such as Verniers and Micrometers.• Customer-focused, results-oriented, with integrity and proven teamwork skills.If you're interested in the role and you think your experience matches the requirements, please click apply or contact Jodie Hodgson at Pertemps Birmingham.
