Outsource UK is seeking skilled Ocean Export Operators with a background in Ocean Freight for our client in Birmingham.

To be considered for this position, you should have experience in Ocean or Air export operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant and dynamic team in the logistics sector.

Overview of the role:

• Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to customers
• Ensure freight is moved on time with all the necessary documentation
• Arrange haulage with shipping line
• Ensure all freight is invoiced and checked prior to dispatch
• Ensure all relevant documents are on hand as required
• Ensure requests and queries are resolved and actioned quickly and efficiently
• Communicate with overseas agents, customers and suppliers in a clear precise manner
• Use customer ERP and SAP systems as and when required
• Take ownership of your own training and development so as to continuously improve and develop

Key skills and qualifications required:

• Industry and operational knowledge of Ocean freight
• An understanding of why attention to detail matters and the commercial impact this has
• Able to cope and accustomed to working under pressure to meet fixed deadlines
• Strong numerical and commercial skills
