What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Own and evolve the firm’s T&C framework to align with FCA standards and internal growth

  • Oversee onboarding and ongoing competence assessment for new Advisers and team members

  • Manage regular file reviews, quality checks, and risk-based monitoring activities

  • Interpret regulatory requirements into practical, firm-wide guidance and training

  • Support the Head of Compliance in keeping the firm audit-ready and ahead of regulatory change

  • Lead and mentor the Technical Team Leader, ensuring a positive learning environment

  • Manage Fit & Proper assessments, CPD tracking, Consumer Duty reporting, and more

  • Collaborate with HR to ensure recruitment and diversity policies meet regulatory expectations

  • Guide the approval process for financial promotions and support effective complaint handling

What They’re Looking For:

  • Strong knowledge of FCA T&C requirements and the broader compliance landscape

  • A proactive, people-focused mindset with the ability to lead, influence, and inspire

  • Excellent communicator with the confidence to challenge and advise senior leaders

  • Detail-oriented with a love of data, reporting, and continuous improvement

  • Previous experience in a similar Training & Competence or Compliance leadership role within Financial Planning, Wealth Management or IFA sectors
