Location: Central Birmingham

Working Arrangement: Monday to Friday (09:00am - 17:30pm), Hybrid with 1 day at home per week.

Recardo Group is representing an award-winning business located in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. The prestigious Barristers is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on a full time permanent basis.

The Successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments.
  • Contact clients to chase unpaid invoices, using phone calls, emails, or letters
  • Resolve issues preventing payment, such as disputes or administrative errors.
  • Assess the creditworthiness of potential clients using financial data.
  • Set and review credit limits for existing clients based on payment history and risk analysis.
  • Build good working relationships with clients to ensure timely payments.
  • Act as a point of contact for payment-related queries.
  • Recommend actions to minimise the risk of bad debt.
  • Provide regular updates to management on the status of outstanding debts.
  • Prepare reports highlighting high-risk accounts or trends in late payments.
  • Work with sales, accounts, and legal teams to ensure smooth credit management.
  • Update systems with notes on payment agreements, communications, and status of debts.

The successful candidate will:
