Working closely with the English department, the successful candidate will support pupils in lessons and deliver targeted interventions to help raise attainment in reading, writing and literature.You will work with pupils of varying abilities, from those needing support to reach expected levels to higher attainers preparing for their GCSEs. This role requires confident communication, good subject knowledge, and a passion for helping pupils succeed.The CandidateThis role is ideal for a recent English graduate or someone with a degree in a related subject, such as English Literature, English Language or Creative Writing. A strong academic background, including good A-level and GCSE results, is essential.The school is looking for someone proactive, reliable and enthusiastic about education. Prior experience working with young people—whether in schools, tutoring, mentoring or volunteering—is desirable but not essential.The SchoolThis is a well-regarded secondary school in Central Birmingham, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
