My client, a leading provider of logistics and freight forwarding services, is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Analyst / Data Analyst

SALARY:

  • £30k-£40k

HOURS: 8.30 AM - 5 PM

ROLE: As a supply chain analyst / data analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Conduct data gathering and analysis to support company's position to provide customized and innovative supply chain solutions to optimize supply chain performance and costs with a focus on enabling clients to achieve reductions in their operational costs, administrative workloads and inventory; whilst making improvements to their service, revenue and quality by leveraging the portfolio of Metro’s products, services and technology offered.
  • Strategically identify and utilize data to support internal and external customers and provide data insights to drive decisions.
  • Contribute to operational excellence by developing and improving data quality, reporting and analytics and actively support and foster a culture of data integrity.
  • Ability to perform high level solution design aligned with the requirements and suggest and validate various solution options for the requirements.
  • Formulate solutions and build computation models and other solutions for specific business problems.
  • Collect, analyse and understand complex datasets to support supply chain analytics. Identify insights and areas of opportunity to optimise supply chain

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Industrial Engineering/supply chain experience - Preferred but not essential
  • Experience using advanced Excel functionalities, (complex formulas and functions, vba macros, excel models, pivot tables, v-look ups etc)
  • Technical knowledge and experience in working with Business Intelligence Applications (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, ThoughtSpot)
  • Strong conceptual understanding in the Supply Chain Planning and Optimization
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in query language SQL advantageous
  • Data visualisation tools, ideally Power BI, Tableau, Looker
