Job Description: Data Systems Architect

We are seeking an experienced Data Systems Architect to play a key role in the modernisation of critical business data processes.

About the Role

The Data Systems Architect will focus on system integration, data flow optimisation, and architectural governance to support a large-scale transformation initiative. This position will involve working on the decommissioning of legacy platforms (including Siebel) and designing a robust income management system, ensuring effective data structures and seamless system interoperability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and document data architecture and system integrations to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Oversee the transition from legacy systems, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to business processes.
  • Develop and maintain scalable cloud-based data solutions (Azure preferred).
  • Map and document system interfaces, including data flows, integration points, and dependencies.
  • Ensure strong data governance practises are implemented, working closely with compliance and security teams.
  • Evaluate and recommend technical solutions that balance performance, resilience, and business needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party providers to align technical strategy with business objectives.
Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Expertise
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture and system integration principles.
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions (Azure preferred).
  • Proven ability to map and document system interfaces, technical processes, and data flows.
  • Knowledge of enterprise data management, including governance, compliance, and security standards.
  • Understanding of CRM, finance, and case management systems, and their role in enterprise data ecosystems.
  • Ability to assess existing IT systems and define scalable, future-proof solutions.
  • Strong documentation skills, ensuring clarity and consistency for technical teams.
Professional Experience
  • Previous experience leading data-driven system transformation projects.
  • Background in data governance and compliance, ensuring security and operational integrity.
  • Ability to engage with senior business stakeholders, translating technical solutions into business impact.
  • Experience working with API integrations, ETL processes, and enterprise data pipelines.
