Are you looking for a rewarding role working with a small groups of EYFS children with SEN?

LTF Recruitment are searching for patient and nuturing SEN teaching assistant to join our welcoming two form entry primary school in Erdington.

The role would be supporting students in EYFS on a 1:1 basis. Some of the children are non verbal and the role would be working with the children to develop their communication and interaction skills through play based activities. The role is offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for successful candidate.

The Ideal candidate:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 12 months' experience in an educational/nursery establishment.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN (ASD, Non verbal)
  • Experience helping children develop communication & interaction
  • Knowledge of the UK EYFS & Key Stage One primary curriculum.
  • A calm, patient, and caring persona.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
