Early Years Teaching Assistant | Birmingham, B30 | £85 - £100 per day | ASAP Start

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for SEND? Do you specialise in Early Years and seek a new opportunity to support young children with SEN? Our respected partner primary school in King's Norton is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September. This role spans the full academic year, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with special educational needs.
  • Develop engaging learning activities and adapt them to meet pupils' needs.
  • Conduct interventions for groups of learners, including phonics and reading sessions.
  • Build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.
  • Assist pupils with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
  • Work with individuals or small groups of students within the classroom.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or degree, or Early Years equivalent.
  • Experience working with children in the Early Years, or nursery environment.
  • Experience supporting students with special educational needs.
