This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the early education of children and gain valuable experience, prior to starting a teacher training opportunity in the future.Job Title: KS1 Graduate Teaching AssistantSchool Type: ‘Good’ 3 form-entry primary schoolPay: £80 - £90 per dayContract: October 2024 – July 2025Location: Ward of Ladywood, BirminghamBrief: 1:1 and small group support to KS1 childrenThe RoleAs a KS1 Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the teaching staff and pupils within the Key Stage 1 phase. Working closely with our experienced teachers, you will assist in creating engaging and stimulating lessons that cater to the needs of their young learners. Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing one-on-one and small group support to children who may require additional assistance with their learning.
Assisting in the preparation of age-appropriate teaching materials and resources.
Supporting classroom management and promoting a positive and safe learning environment.
Encouraging the social and emotional development of our students through caring interactions and role modelling.
Assisting with the assessment of pupils' progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents.

The Candidate

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree
Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children and a commitment to their well-being and development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, colleagues, and parents.
Adaptability and a patient demeanour to meet the individual needs of each child.
Previous experience working with children in any capacity is advantageous, but not mandatory.
