Are you dedicated to supporting students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Speech & Language Difficulties to unlock their full potential? We are seeking an enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to become an integral part of an esteemed special school in Birmingham.

This is a full-time role to start from January. The school supports pupils aged 4 to 11 years who have special education needs and/or disabilities arising from cognition and learning difficulties including severe learning difficulties and speech, communication and language difficulties.

As a SEN TA, you will play a vital role in nurturing and empowering students to achieve their goals. Your dedication and compassion will be key in helping them develop essential life skills, improve communication abilities, and build self-confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualised support to students with SLD and Speech & Language Difficulties, tailoring assistance to their unique needs.

Collaborate with the teaching team to implement personalised education plans and monitor progress effectively.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social interactions and communication development.

Assist in creating engaging and stimulating classroom activities, adapting resources to cater to diverse learning styles.

Be a source of encouragement and motivation, helping students build their self-esteem and independence.

Requirements:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

Experience working with students with SLD and Speech & Language Difficulties.

A genuine passion for special education and the desire to support young learners in achieving their best.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, parents, and fellow educators.

Patience, empathy, and understanding in providing support to children with diverse needs.
