This OFSTED rated ‘Good’ Primary School in Selly Oak area requires a male SEND Teaching assistant to provide 1-2-1 support for a male SEND child in year 2 until the end of the academic year. This role requires a male teaching assistant who loves working with special educational needs and who greets every child with a smile and enthusiasm. This friendly team at this school offer outstanding support for staff and pupils, while creating a sense of respect and belonging for both the pupils and the staff. Who will make you will feel welcome from day one. The school has excellent facilities where children flourish. This school is focused on putting the needs of the pupils first. The school has great support from the local community as well as the local church. Experience supporting children with Autism or Complex Needs is preferred for this role.Job Role:
  • Providing tailored support for a male child with special educational needs.
  • Understanding a range of Special Educational Needs including Autism, Complex Needs, and Aspergers’.
  • Supporting the child on a 1-2-1 basis, delivering intervention where required.
  • Managing behaviours, helping the child to engage with lessons.
  • Recording progress of the child and reporting to the SENCO.
