SEND HLTA | Birmingham, B18 | £95 - £125 per day | ASAP Start

LTF Recruitment is seeking a composed and patient SEND HLTA to join a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) within a mainstream primary school. The position involves offering one-on-one support delivering interventions as well as working with small groups of students. This role is offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the successful candidate.

Who are we looking for?

  • Level 4 HLTA qualifications are desirable, but not essential. Experienced Teaching Assistants are encouraged to apply.
  • Possess relevant experience working with SEN learners in an educational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to support SEN pupils individually, in small groups, and across full-class settings.
  • Hold qualifications like TeamTeach or training in Positive Behaviour Management.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, with proficiency in non-verbal methods like Makaton and PECS being highly advantageous.
  • Be an effective team player, capable of collaborating with colleagues and following the class teacher's guidance.
  • Familiar with maintaining, updating, and reviewing the progress of EHCPs.
