The Role - Full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Full-time Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Selly Oak, Birmingham. This role will start immediately and will run until at least the May half term, with the potential for an extension until July. In this position, you will provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, ensuring they receive tailored support to thrive in their learning. In addition to this, you will assist with general classroom activities, contributing to the overall success of the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, ensuring their specific learning needs are met.
  • Assist with delivering lessons and provide additional support across various subjects.
  • Help manage classroom activities and ensure all students are engaged and progressing.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for all students.
About You:
  • Experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role, preferably with SEN experience.
  • Knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum and an understanding of SEN needs.
  • Patient, proactive, and adaptable to varying classroom and individual pupil needs.
  • Based in or near Selly Oak, and available full-time until at least May half term.
  • Passionate about helping children reach their full potential and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
