Teaching Assistant | Selly Oak, Birmingham | £90-£105 | Long-Term to Permanent | November 2024

LTF Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and patient Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 4 pupil at a welcoming primary school in Selly Oak. This role offers an opportunity to provide tailored support, helping the pupil to achieve their social, emotional, and academic goals in a nurturing and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil, focusing on their specific learning and developmental needs.
  • Assist with classwork and provide targeted interventions to help them stay engaged and motivated.
  • Support the child's social skills and emotional development through consistent, positive reinforcement.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning strategies and monitor progress.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment that encourages independence and builds the child's confidence.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a 1:1 setting.
  • A calm, compassionate approach with the ability to build rapport and trust with young learners.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A passion for helping children reach their full potential.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable.
