Are you passionate about helping young students grow and learn? Zest Education are currently seeking a dedicated Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a team at a school located in Bartley Green. This part-time position can start in January 2025 until the end of the academic year, providing you with an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young students and build a long-lasting relationship with a school.

The ideal candidate must be able to support and motivate the children to stay in line with the school's ethos and aims.

As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support students in their learning journey. You will be required to:

  • Support the classroom teacher in setting up the classroom's displays and teaching resources.
  • Work well with students to make sure they understand the assignment or project.
  • Help pupils develop the capacity for independent learning.
  • Offer children who require it, one-on-one and small-group assistance.
  • Assisting with educational activities and school outings.
  • Encourage pupils to interact with the class and to participate in the activities.

To excel in this role, you should have a genuine interest in education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team You must have:

  • A solid understanding of child development and the Key Stage curriculum.
  • Effective verbal communication and attentive listening abilities to interact with parents, co-workers, and other professionals.
  • Genuine enthusiasm and dedication for working with children and supporting their success.
  • Prior experience in an educational setting is preferred.
  • An enhanced DBS or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong collaboration abilities and the capacity to operate both independently and cooperatively.
