Zest Education are currently recruiting a passionate and driven Teaching Assistant to join a committed team at a school based in Quinton. You will be required to work within a Year 5 Class on a part-time basis (3 days a week). - To work under the direction of the teacher, assist with the planning of lessons, prepare equipment and resources, and participate in training.
- Watch over and assist students, including those with special needs.
- Build positive rapport with students and engage with them in a way that best suits their needs.
- Motivate the students to participate in group activities and teacher-led projects.
- Encourage independence and self-worth while setting high standards.
- Give the teacher thorough feedback on a regular basis.
- Establish and keep a focused, organised, and encouraging atmosphere in compliance with lesson plans.
- Encourage students to behave well.
You must:
- Have relevant experience within an educational setting or working with children.
- Own an enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
- A comprehension of good teaching techniques.
- Have well-developed interpersonal skills - the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Be able to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
- A genuine desire in helping children with educational aspirations.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
