Role: Field Service EngineerLocation: Midlands (Southwest Midlands)Salary: Negotiable + Over TimeHours of Work: 8:30am – 5:00pm Mon-FriBenefits: Company Car with social use, 23 days holiday rising to 28, Pension contribution rising to 9%An opportunity for a Field Service Engineer has become available with global leader in the manufacture of special purpose measuring equipment, on a permanent basis.As the successful Field Service Engineer, you will be a member of the service team, and be responsible for the installation, calibration, service and repair of metrology equipment at customer site, covering the Southwest Midlands area.Field Service Engineer – Responsibilities:
  • Conduct customer site visits on a daily basis 
  • Install precision measuring equipment. 
  • Complete service and calibration work. 
  • Undertake trouble shooting including fault-finding, diagnosis and rectification. 
Skills & Experience required:
  • Minimum of HNC/BTEC or equivalent in an engineering discipline, or relevant industry experience. 
  • Experience of fault finding on electro-mechanical systems. 
  • Hands on practical mechanical fitting and installation
  • Basic electrical skills for replacing circuit boards and use of test equipment
  • Strong communicator, organisation skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Good IT skills. 
  • Full valid driving license (company vehicle provided)
Desirable skills:
  • Ideally have experience with precision engineering equipment
