Panel WirerLocation: BirminghamSalary: Up to £32,000 + OvertimeAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Panel Wirer to join a well-established company based in Birmingham. This role offers the chance to work in a specialist production, assembly, and test facility, manufacturing electrical and control solutions for a range of industries, including Defence, Industrial, Rail, Aviation, and Oil & Gas.

The Role:

As a Panel Wirer, you will be a key part of the assembly team, reporting to the Production Manager. You will be responsible for wiring and assembling electrical components for a variety of products, including control and distribution panels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wiring and assembly of components for light fittings, control cabinets, and panels

  • Crimping, routing, and cable terminating work on control panels

  • Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and wiring schematics

  • Mechanical and electrical assembly

  • Use of hand tools

  • Soldering

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with point-to-point wiring

  • Cable end termination (Crimping/Soldering)

  • Ability to read and work from GA and schematic drawings

  • Control panel wiring experience

  • Cable routing

  • Experience in electrical assembly and wiring of control panels

  • Ability to work independently on assigned projects

Desirable Skills:
  • Manufacturing to IPC Class 3 standard

  • Prototype and development wiring experience

  • Basic testing experience

  • Experience training junior colleagues in a buddy system
