CK Group are recruiting for a Technical Assessor to join a waste management company at their site in Birmingham, on a full time permanent basis.

The company services a range of sectors including chemical and hazardous waste, as well as having a nationwide infrastructure for the collection, treatment and disposal of hazardous wastes, ensuring legal compliance and environmental protection.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out technical assessment of waste enquiries through characterising and applying accurate classification of the waste.
  • Ensure that all waste is packaged and transported in line with current transport regulations.
  • Identify and assign cost effective treatment and processing routes for a variety of hazardous waste streams.
  • Liaise with the Laboratory for sample analysis.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure an efficient workflow.
  • Provide technical advice, support and guidance to the technical team, the company and to external customers.
  • Assisting in training and development of the team and taking responsibility for their own learning and development.

Your Background:
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in chemistry.
  • Prior industry experience of analysing waste samples.
