Your new roleAn exciting opportunity to join an expanding team focused on ensuring environmental compliance across highway projects and helping to deliver sustainability targets to achieve the aims of the projects sustainability strategy.The role will ensure environmental compliance across all major environmental aspects - water, waste, noise/vibration, ecological - and provide advice and guidance to various teams to help achieve this. The role will also involve supervising and mentoring the development of Environmental Advisors project and delivering suitable environmental and sustainability training for all project staff.

What you'll need to succeed

  • At least 3 years' construction industry experience or relevant environmental experience in a similar sector.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across projects/ contracts in the region
  • Great knowledge of environmental compliance.
  • Experience working in the life cycle of the project.
  • Degree level in an appropriate environmental or relevant discipline or equivalent (eg NVQ)
  • Minimum Practitioner Membership with IEMA or similar professional membership
  • Competent IT skills
