Job Title: Event Support Manager

Company: SNG is a dynamic publishing house with magazines, events, and competitions for learners across five brands: HIP, SPARKS, Concept Hair, and our new launches, BTX and Concept Beauty. We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as the Event Support Manager. This role provides an exciting opportunity to collaborate with clients, apply your event expertise, and be part of a dynamic team committed to delivering exceptional results.

Main Purpose of Job: To support and assist with all aspects of event planning and execution for SNG, ensuring the successful delivery of a range of events across multiple brands.

Report to: Event Manager

  • Team Support & Leadership: Assist and deputise for the Event Manager, ensuring smooth event execution and effective team coordination.
  • Event Coordination: Support the delivery of end-to-end event management processes, including competitions, roadshows, and other events, from initial planning through to final execution.
  • Secondary Event Contact: Serve as a key point of contact for event-related enquiries, liaising with suppliers, clients, and participants to ensure efficient communication and smooth event operations.
  • Relationship Building: Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with clients, colleges, and competition judges. Support in the creation of event-specific materials and product selections.
  • Communication Coordination: Manage and coordinate communications with sponsors, learners, lecturers, and clients through digital platforms and telephone, ensuring high engagement.
  • Presentation Support: Assist in the preparation and delivery of presentations, helping to represent the brand and engage with event participants and sponsors.
  • CRM Support & Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain the CRM system, ensuring all participant and sponsor data is accurate and up-to-date.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an on-site event support role.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Proven ability to work in a team effectively.
  • Previous trade show experience.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present confidently to large audiences and demonstrate a strong telephone manner.
  • Proficiency in managing digital communication platforms and CRM systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and familiarity with Google systems (advantageous).
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required.
  • Ability to lift and handle event materials.

Additional Information:

  • This is a full-time (37.5 hours), hybrid role with required travel across the UK, approximately 35 days per year.
  • Salary - £23,000 - £26,000 plus bonus.
  • No Agencies.
