Robertson Bell is partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an Assistant Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. This home-based role involves regular travel across the Midlands, working closely with budget holders to provide financial oversight, training, and support.

In this role, you will:

  • Take ownership of financial reporting for a portfolio of up to 35 locations, varying in size and complexity.
  • Assist with budgeting, working closely with budget holders to set, monitor, and review financial performance.
  • Process and review journals, conduct variance analysis, and provide insightful financial commentary.
  • Deliver financial training to stakeholders, adapting to different levels of financial literacy, including volunteers and non-financial managers.
  • Support budget holders with grant funding, property budgets, and community-focused initiatives.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or looking to restart their studies.
  • Have some experience in management accounting, budgeting, or business partnering.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-finance professionals.
  • Be comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities across a large region.
  • Have a full driving licence and access to a car for regular travel.
