An established legal firm in Birmingham are looking to strengthen its Finance team with the appointment of a proactive and assured Commercial Finance Business Partner who can start in October or November this year. The role supports internal stakeholders with dashboard presentations, budgeting, forecasting and pricing strategy.
In this business-facing role, you will utilise the company's systems and reporting plug-ins to provide accurate, data-based information and KPIs on company's sales and profitability by researching and analysing the financial information of the company to assist in making well informed decisions by writing reports and monitoring financial movements.
You need to be an excellent listener and have a thorough understanding of what is important to the business. The ability to process a vast amount of information, have fantastic attention to detail, and to be methodical are also non-negotiable. You will act as a translator between data and finance.
Ideally, you will:
- Work with departmental heads, gather and organise business requirements in terms of information and KPI requirements for the business
- Have experience of creating dashboards for system users to keep them informed of business requirements using SQL and tableau, including but not limited to actual sales results versus forecasts, margins and overall profitability of sales and billable hours
- Prepare financial reports with reliable conclusions that management can use to implement more effective operational strategies
- Assemble and summarise data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
