Alexander Daniels are recruiting for a Finance Business Partner for a well-established business based in the Birmingham area. This is a commercial role that would require you to have excellent understand of management accounts preparation and proven experience in business partnering. This role is office based but offers a good work life balance and the opportunity to work with a fantastic manager.

Key responsibilities:

  • Offer insights and recommendations derived from financial analysis to aid decision-making processes. Serve as a trusted advisor to the operations team and other stakeholders, providing financial expertise, guidance, and constructive challenges to enhance performance.
  • Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis to inform strategic decisions and assess the financial implications of new initiatives, projects, and investments.
  • Evaluate financial performance through variance and trend analysis, delivering actionable insights to the operations team to advance business performance.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with the organization's objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in both the financial planning and analysis team and the broader organization to foster strong relationships.
  • Work alongside the managed accounts team to guarantee that shared reports remain accurate and relevant for their intended audiences.
  • Act as the primary representative for the finance department in meetings, presentations, and discussions with the operations teams and other stakeholders.
  • Identify profitable opportunities within the business that align with the strategic goals.

Essential Requirements:

  • Newly qualified/ qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
  • Strong previous experience with Management Accounts & Budgets.
  • Previous reporting and analytical skills.
  • Strong Communication & presentation skills
  • Comfortable working under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Able to liaise with and influence colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
  • Mature and positive outlook
  • Strong excel skills VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables minimum.
