Position: Finance Business PartnerLocation: North BirminghamPackage: Up to £55,000

Gleeson Recruitment Group are pleased to be working exclusively on an opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a dynamic team in North Birmingham. The role will focus on financial analysis, business performance reviews, and budgetary support within a key business division. The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for supporting senior management and overseeing financial reporting, ensuring both strategic and tactical objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the finance function, including Fixed Assets, Debtors Ledger, General Ledger, Invoicing, Customer Profitability Analysis, Cost Centre Management, and Productivity reporting.
  • Take ownership of P&L, providing guidance and support to management.
  • Lead month-end closing processes and implement improvements to reporting practices.
  • Produce and present monthly reporting packs, offering clear insights into financial performance to management.
  • Act as a Business Partner to senior leadership, providing financial reporting and support.
  • Supervise and manage departmental cost centre spending.
  • Conduct profitability analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support client onboarding processes, including pricing and project management.
  • Contribute to the development of annual business plans and budgeting cycles.
  • Lead and develop finance team members, fostering growth and performance.
  • Flexibility to take on additional tasks as required by management.

Experience & Skills:

  • Extensive experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and financial reporting best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with a strategic and proactive mindset.
  • Proven ability to understand business drivers and translate them into actionable financial insights.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial data to all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Collaborate closely with senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide financial expertise and commercial insights to support business growth and development.
