Karter Thomas specialises in the provision of social housing professionals. We are currently partnering with a Charity based in Birmingham in the recruitment of a Senior Finance Leader.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and impactful organisation where you’ll lead the way in financial strategy, reporting, and risk management. It is a full time role, 35 hours per week and offers a hybrid working pattern.

Key Responsibilities:• Lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive financial strategy, backed by budgets, forecasts, and analysis to drive value across the Group• Prepare and present key financial and operational reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to the Board, ensuring timely and accurate insights• Oversee the management of budgetary planning, forecasting, and operational reporting, contributing to the smooth operation of the business• Manage relationships with bankers and auditors, ensuring efficient annual year-end audit processes• Provide financial reporting to managed organisations, ensuring trial balances are delivered on time• Develop and implement a risk management framework to address financial, operational, and reputational risks, ensuring robust systems and controls• Ensure full compliance with tax, financial, and regulatory requirements for a charitable organisation, care provider, and Registered Provider with the National Regulator of Social Housing• Lead, coach, and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
