We are working exclusively with our client, a growing SME, to recruit a technically skilled Finance Manager. This role is heavily focused on managing the technical aspects of finance, including month-end processes, preparation of management accounts, and ensuring robust financial reporting. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with two days on-site in Birmingham.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager:

  • Oversee month-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and assist in the preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Maintain and improve financial processes and controls, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during audits, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of information.

Key essentials of the Finance Manager:

  • Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Strong experience in month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Technical expertise in accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills with a proven ability to work with complex data.
