We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead a small team, ensuring effective financial management, forecasting, and business partnering across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in financial strategy, compliance, and resource planning.

Description

As Finance Manager, you will oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic insight. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a small finance team, fostering development and performance
  • Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy to support decision-making
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining robust financial controls
  • Producing and reviewing management accounts, statutory reports, and financial statements
  • Providing a proactive business partnering service to senior stakeholders
  • Supporting procurement, contract management, and financial risk assessment
  • Managing internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and accountability
  • Promoting financial awareness across the organisation, supporting budget holders
  • Acting as an Information Asset Owner, ensuring secure and compliant information management

Profile

The Successful Applicant Should Have

  • Strong experience in financial management within a complex organisation
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing finance teams
  • Expertise in financial accounting, reporting, and forecasting
  • A track record in business partnering and stakeholder engagement
  • Knowledge of procurement and risk management (desirable)
  • Experience working within the public sector or regulated environments (desirable)
