As Finance Manager, you will oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic insight. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing a small finance team, fostering development and performance
- Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy to support decision-making
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining robust financial controls
- Producing and reviewing management accounts, statutory reports, and financial statements
- Providing a proactive business partnering service to senior stakeholders
- Supporting procurement, contract management, and financial risk assessment
- Managing internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and accountability
- Promoting financial awareness across the organisation, supporting budget holders
- Acting as an Information Asset Owner, ensuring secure and compliant information management
Profile
The Successful Applicant Should Have
- Strong experience in financial management within a complex organisation
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing finance teams
- Expertise in financial accounting, reporting, and forecasting
- A track record in business partnering and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of procurement and risk management (desirable)
- Experience working within the public sector or regulated environments (desirable)
