  We are excited to invite applications for the pivotal role of Group Finance Director to join our leading international client, headquartered in the West Midlands. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will play a crucial part in shaping their financial strategy and driving the business forward.Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Provide visionary financial leadership to ensure our financial goals align with our corporate objectives.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. You will lead a large team across Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, FP&A and Business Partnering. 
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations and standards, maintaining the highest levels of compliance and governance.
  • Performance Management: Drive financial performance through rigorous analysis, reporting, and the provision of insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with senior management and key stakeholders to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrable experience in a senior finance role within a large PLC/large and complex business, with a track record of driving financial performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team development capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. You will have managed cross-functional teams within finance with a headcount of at least 15 heads. 
  • Analytical Acumen: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Professional Qualification: Professional finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is essential.
