Head of Financial Planning & Analysis West Midlands up to c£100,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a major international group as Head of Financial Planning & Analysis. This UK based role will provide the opportunity to travel internationally (Europe) with group wide responsibility for providing high quality business insight and strategic planning. This is an exciting time to join the group in a role where you can make a significant impact through the development of key business metrics and reporting using Workday Adaptive Planning software.

Reporting to the Group Finance Director and managing a small team your remit will include:

  • Managing the group forecasting and budgeting activities across multiple entities in the UK and Europe
  • Developing strong stakeholder relationships at senior management level to deliver impactive business insights that will influence key decisions to improve business performance
  • Ensure the development and full utilisation of the capabilities that the Workday Adaptive Planning software can provide to the business
  • To work closely with business leaders to create strategic plans to meet group objectives using scenario modelling and other techniques
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement using best practice methods to deliver efficiency and cost savings
  • Development of your immediate team and support the 'up-skilling' of the wider finance teams in the use of the business tools available

  • Proven experience of working at senior level in a Group FP&A function
  • Qualified accountant with a high level of commercial acumen
  • Expert level financial modelling skills with experience of using Workday Adaptive Planning software
  • High calibre Financial Analysis skills with the ability to 'tell the story' in an impactive and influential manner
  • Quality and deadline focused - passionate about improving performance through great business insight
  • Robust cashflow forecasting and budgeting skills - gained with a large multi-entity organisation
  • Able to lead and inspire direct and non-direct reports
