SF Recruitment is currently working with a fantastic public sector body in the recruitment of an interim Finance Business Partner (12 month FTC). The Finance Business Partner will provide a business partnering service to the wider business, supporting business decisions with the right analysis, insights and judgement so that better decisions are made while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellent customer service. Key tasks: - The business has trusted advice on all financial and business decisions to enable the organisation to deliver its strategic goals and a clear first port of call on all finance matters. - Value added to the business by driving and supporting strategic, financial and operational performance of the business. - Effective financial controls operate across the business area and that financial risk is understood and minimised - challenging the business on their business plans and activity levels and seeking   explanation of any unplanned expenditure. - Budget holders upskilled on an individual basis including delivery of training sessions on various finance subjects. - All aspects of business planning, forecasting, financial reporting and control are delivered to the highest standard and within set timelines. - Business cases are reviewed and challenged ensuring they are in compliance with the strategic direction of the business area. - Finance support in place for initiatives and projects - Ensure that performance management approaches including KPIs and dashboards are developed and maintained by working with the business and understanding their requirements to enable added   value partnering to become the norm. - Specific business concerns for budget holders and proactive solutions are identified - Project managers and budget holders understand and adhere to financial controls and processes, supporting and coaching them where necessary to allow accurate financial reporting and timely   processing of supplier payments. - The wider Finance and Procurement team are supported with guidance and instruction to colleagues across the team Please get in touch if this sounds of interest.
