Our client, a purpose-driven organisation based in the West Midlands, is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership over a 12-month period. Reporting to the CEO, the Interim Finance Director will be responsible for leading the organisation's financial strategy, ensuring robust financial governance, and supporting sustainable growth. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping financial decision-making, optimising operational efficiency, and maintaining financial stability.
Location: West Midlands (onsite)
Contract length: 12 months, Part-time (3 days per week)
Remuneration: 130,000 per annum (pro rata) or equivalent day rate
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Director
- Providing strategic financial leadership and insight to the executive team and board.
- Overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory, governance, and risk management frameworks.
- Driving financial efficiencies while upholding the organisation's ethical values.
- Supporting business growth and long-term sustainability.
Requirements of the Interim Finance Director
- CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualification are highly desirable.
- A proven track record in senior financial leadership roles.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic planning expertise.
- Experience within socially responsible, ethical, or purpose-driven organisations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- The ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
