The Role:As the Interim Head of External Reporting, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that financial reporting meets the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will manage the preparation of financial statements, liaise with external auditors, and play a pivotal role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting processes.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, or local regulatory standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
  • Maintain a robust internal control environment to support reporting accuracy and mitigate risk.
  • Lead the implementation of new accounting standards, policies, and frameworks, ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance to senior management and the wider finance team.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, to ensure consistency and clarity in external financial disclosures.
  • Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and industry trends, adapting processes and reporting as required.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures with financial due diligence and reporting input.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing external reporting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
